Apply with the right records.
Keep your participation current.
CTF participation is managed through eCAP. We help organizations understand the requirements, prepare documentation, and coordinate the next steps.
Applying for the first time
Start by reviewing the eligibility criteria for your organization’s category and locations. Gather the supporting records before preparing an application in eCAP.
For nonprofit reviews, relevant records can include your IRS determination letter, program descriptions, financial records, board information, and details of community access and service use.
Submitting an application or creating an account does not mean you have been approved. The CPUC makes the eligibility decision.
Start with eligibility →Once approved
- Retain your approval letter and eligibility dates.
- Provide the letter to your participating service provider.
- Confirm eligible products and locations.
- Review the bill to verify the discount.
Recertification keeps
your status current.
The program periodically requires recertification. Check your eligibility end date and follow the requirements in your program notice.
Keep the right staff contacts in eCAP so reminders do not get lost when roles change. Gather updated records early enough to address questions before the deadline.
